Connecting Food and Community
St. Croix Preparatory Academy (SCPA) received the First Bite Mini Grant in January 2022 and also The Farm to School Full Tray Grant for 2023, through the MN Department of Agriculture. Funds were used to build connections with local farmers and bring additional food offerings to the school's cafeteria. Examples include local beef, cabbage, watermelon, and apples to boost Taco Tuesday on the regular lunch menu.
SCPA's Nutrition Service team - 3 full-time and 2 part-time people - prepare nearly 1000 meals a day (breakfast and lunch).

NEW SCHOOL CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATION DUE DATE
Letter of Intent Due: November 1, 2025 for a January 2026 application submission.
Applications Due: January 15, 2026. Applications are submitted through Friends of Education's application portal.
