Of the 429 Minnesota Public High Schools making U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best High School rankings, all four high schools authorized by Friends of Education are in the top ten:
- St. Croix Preparatory Academy
- Nova Classical Academy
- Edina High School
- Minnetonka High School
- Math and Science Academy
- Wayzata High School
- Parnassus Preparatory Academy
- Mounds View High School
- Orono High School
- Eagle Ridge Academy
Friends recognizes both progress and consistency are necessary to maintain high standards. Congratulations to St. Croix Preparatory Academy for moving from #3 in 2024 to #1 in 2025! Congratulations to Nova Classical Academy for ranking #2 for six consecutive years: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025!

NEW SCHOOL CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATION DUE DATE
Letter of Intent Due: November 1, 2025 for a January 2026 application submission.
Applications Due: January 15, 2026. Applications are submitted through Friends of Education's application portal.
